2023 Youth National Special Consideration Now Open
If you are seeking special consideration for the 2023 Youth Nationals due to being unable to attend the qualifying event or not placing in the top 5 for you category please fill in the below form by Saturday the 25th of March.
The NSW and ACT State Teams are selected from the top performers in the State Lead, Speed and Boulder Titles each year.
These athletes compete at national championships annually to gain a place on the Australian Climbing Team
TEAM SELECTION POLICY
The State Titles for Boulder, Lead and Speed are the NSW and ACT state selection events.
The TOP 5 climbers from each category at State Titles will qualify for a place on the team to compete at the National Championships. If there are additional places available (based on Sport Climbing Australia’s event policy) athletes may apply to the State Selection Committee for a special condition entry to compete at Nationals.

Monique is one of the truly world class Australian climbers.
She has been an elite athlete herself, previously competing as a gymnast and then taking up sport acrobatics. She has been climbing for 20 years, with her most notable achievements being the first Australian woman to climb routes graded 31, 32, 33 and 34.
Monique has been expanding more into group and private coaching recently and represented NSW at the SCA’s Coaching workshops with Tonde Katiyo in November 2017.
